Who writes Noise Porn?

Stoon (or Alastair/Ally - it’s confusing!) was the original founder of Noise Porn in early 2008 and found it an ideal outlet for his passion for both music and writing. Shameless lover of all things melodic and lyrical, he’s happiest with a beat but dips his oar into most things as long as he can smell talent behind it. Originally from southern England, he moved to Edinburgh, Scotland in 2005 to study at university. With an immature taste for music vaguely tending towards the dance end of things, he found himself learning more about what he liked at nights like We Are Electric…, Sugarbeat Club, Xplicit and Aztech Breaks, to name but a few. He recently started DJing under the name “Sketch,” firmly in the bedroom at the moment but with a few forays out at the odd house party and club, things might be getting better on that front soon! He’s also been involved with running clubs in Edinburgh since he arrived, and is happiest at 3am freezing his arse off outside a club stuffing flyers into the hands of people who will NEVER come to his nights!

Dominik von Werdt - a name that could already be found on billboards in the streets of Sweden, with a typo though. And obviously in the alleys of Bern, without the typo, but with a bright pink background. And on quite a few other posters, but those weren’t quite as flashy. CD players and 127 beats per minute - Dominik has now arrived at a station called “Electro” - pumping Electro influenced by Hip Hop and the whole spectrum of electronic dance music. Mr. von Werdt sits behind the controllers and crafts track after track, remix after remix - and doesn’t get tired of it. He’s had releases on labels such as Lyon Echo, Raucocue, Offshore Digital, Inspired and Blend. And then in the last few months, Dominik has caught the deserving attention of leading blogs like Palmsout and Discobelle - cashback. His latest venture is helping to run the Noise Porn blog, which he joined in May 2008.

Jeff Doubleu - Passionate about all forms of house music, Jeff Doubleu from the Netherlands is a young-gun with a bright spark of talent and a dusting of drive, he’s going places and his signing to Patchy Recordings is the proof. Disturbed Beats love him, Noise Porn love him (he did our first Have You Got Five Minutes? mixtape) and his latest endeavour is joining the Noise Porn crew to deliver some bloggy badness. Considering the guy hasn’t even left school yet, his Myspace player is packed full with his own dynamite releases (including the jackin’ masterpieces “Gooseberry” and “Throw It Out”). He was recently been on remix duty with Larry Tee (for electro track “Louis Vuitton”) and any scout worth his money will be onto this boy in the next few months. Watch out!
