Beats On Demand

Fellow swiss chap Beats On Demand is celebrating autumn with two mixtapes – one good for listening through the day, and one that’s only safe to play at night. He’s included some of Bern’s talent in those two mixes, including Mercury, Round Table Knights or Patrick Bishop. Too bad there’s only one of his own productions on the tracklists, since his own stuff doesn’t need to hide either.

DVW

After four months, there’s finally a new mixtape in DVW’s FUCK YEAH series. While the first one had a strong pop flavour to it, the following ones turned more and more clubby. FUCK YEAH 5 is exactly what DVW sounds like when playing live. For the next month alone, he’s been booked to support the likes of Princess Superstar, The Proxy and Make The Girl Dance.

Mercury

This fresh Mercury mix just landed in our inbox, straight from Bern, Switzerland. After their Classic Mix, they’re now ready to teach us a bit about the history of house music. Aspiring producers can even learn a bit or two about how a track is built up. The mix is pretty minimal, reducing the music to what you really need – good old house grooves and a ton of bass!

Noiseberg

Noiseberg hit us up with number two in his mixtape series. It’s more experimental than the first Joker tape, though for Noiseberg experimental doesn’t necessarily mean more obscure, it rather means just as danceable with more variety. There are a lot of Noiseberg edits to make sure the tracks fit together even better, and as a gimmick there’s Noiseberg’s remix of his own band, Nordsite. Get ready for 38 minutes of well-picked electronic music!

NOISEBERG

After doing hip hop for a while under his Luke Manoo alias, this hyperactive guy from Bern plays electro now under the name of Noiseberg.
