Stenchman

No doubt one of the most exciting producers to come out of the dubstep scene over the past few years Stenchman has been making waves and shocking his audience for a while now. Donning what some may describe as a rather disturbing mask he certainly does anything but conform to what are considered stereotypes in music these days. Original and fresh we spoke Enter Shakiri, masks and toilets?!

You’ve been supporting Enter Shakiri on their tour how did this come about did they approach you?

 that was through stanza from true tiger, he is the man for hookups. i just sit there like a comatose ferrect hoping food will walk into its mouth

 Do you think people take you too seriously or not seriously enough?

i think its both, its either one extreme or the other, never in the middle

 What made you want to start a record label surely all those illegal (not us obviously) bloggers aint making selling tunes too easy?

 so i could put out tunes with subliminal messages in, making them eat their own faeces every time they open soulseek. and give them names like cuntfuckwankpistol and not get any grief

 Do you think the UK crowd is more responsive to your sound as opposed to when you play internationally?

 depends on where you are really, its completely random, you can do 2 nights in the same town with a completely different vibe so i find it hard to compare places to others. obviously there are some that are consistently sick tho, but i get them both at home and abroad

 How do you think your contribution to dubstep has helped it grow to the size it is today?

i dunno man, i suppose i have bought it to a lot of people who just wanna go out and get mashup, which im sure the “original day dot” dubstep community LOVE me for.

 We know you’re playing at a night called dub boro in London on the 17^th of Dec are you looking forward to your debut? Heard any good things?

 yea always look forward to playing a new night, and being a london thing you know its gonna get hectic

What’s your favourite toilet in the UK?
 
Any that is a known cottaging hotspot. nothing better that getting a rear fill while doing a frontal dismount. i prefer european toilets tho, the ones that have your dump on a plateau to inspect before flushing

How did you pick the slipknot mask you play in, why not Craig or Joeys?

it was actually custom built based on my old mask, which looked a bit like a small potato sack.

new kids on the block – the right stuff

What forthcoming releases can we expect on your Label Bovinyl?

 next thing coming is a ep of deeper stuff, watch out for it in shops early next year. then after that, something monsterously stinky, just to keep it varied
