Odissi just continues to look amazing while delivering top-class vocals on huge releases. This one ‘Empty Vodka Bottles’ is a late-night techno roller with her sultry vocals telling stories of obsessional love gone wrong. The original and three accompanying remixes, out on Lot49, are all solid and you can listen to them all below.
For all its tendencies towards the more minimal end of electro, the Kid Blue remix has got my vote. The production on here is in a class of its own, and the coldness of the vocals is complemented nicely by the intricacy of the slowly-building synth patterns, making this perfect for a peak-hour minimal set.
