Back from a stint away (being ill and then making sure I enjoy myself sufficiently to make up for being ill) it’s back to the bloggery-pokery. Been meaning to post purveyors of fidget Dirty Basement since a week or two ago when they kindly sent me a stack of mp3s to share with you lot, as well as a medley of all the remixes of their latest single Get Messy (get it now at Beatport and you can download the Hostage remix below). The pair hails from Glasgow where they enjoy a monthly residency at the Soundhaus, with releases beginning to come thick and fast. Of their music they state that “face-melting bendy basslines with cut-up vocals, claps and monstrous beats are our chosen weapons of mass dancefloor destruction.” So face-melting comes as standard? I’m in!
