Ill in bed today as the rain falls outside, but the blogging goes on! Received a very kind heads up from This Is Breaks this morning urging me to go check out a brand new remix of La Roux’s In For The Kill on their site. The remixer in question is Small Fry, a UK producer & DJ who’s remixed for Wiley, Herve and Kid Cudi amongst others. Better be watching out for this one then!
He’s kindly giving away a full 320 of the track (find it here), which places much emphasis on the original vocal, with a brilliant live feel to the breakbeat drum patterns underneath. These set off the vocal mastery of La Roux in style, and the result is enough to drag even the most serious of chin-strokers to the dancefloor. A very nice rework of this massive tune. Thanks guys!
