RQM

RQM is back with his new ‘Barely Evil’ EP which is set to drop on the 3rd of August on OMG Recordings! The original mix, produced by the Berlin duo Marvin Suggs is one perfectly crafted track that is suitable for both the dancefloor and the afterparty. The beats are funky as hell and the mere use of cowbell forces me to give it a 10/10. Vocally this track makes me think of a more modern and less camp Tiga (which trust me is a good thing). The synth that kicks in at around 2.10 has to be one of the coolest sounds i have heard in a track for a while, so damn tasty!

The remixes included with the EP are astounding: Bass Weazal, Brain Matters, Stereotyp, Lars Moston and Big Dope P have all succeeded in producing highly original remixes.

This has to be one of the strongest EPs of 2009!
