We have two MONSTER tracks from the up and coming electro boy wonder that is Last Japan!
First off is a remix of Diplo & Laidback Luke ‘Hey!’, this track is crazy! (Tempted to say its my favourite remix by Last Japan to date, however he has such a strong repertoire that i dont think i can definitely say i have a favourite). Last Japan has really found a winning formula in his production, added to the fact that he is doing official remixes for DJ superstars such as Brodinski, Diplo and Laidback Luke. Last Japan manages to turn this tune into a slice of ravestep heaven! Weaving in what can only be described as dubstepified melody of Darude’s ‘Sandstorm’ really makes the track for me.
The second remix of ‘Eurostarr’ has an amazingly catchy bounce to it, a perfect balance of tech house and some altogether heavier beast. The wavering synth that kicks in midway through the track really brings the energy to the track and i personally prefer this to the original (what can i say – I LIKE IT HEAVY!)
