I’ve been keeping tabs on Nathan Vice, the New Yorkian who’s been throwing down some fantastic tunes as of late. In particular he dropped his Bmore Disco Re-Edit of Earth, Wind & Fire’s mighty disco drenched classic Let’s Groove.
Vice drops in the Daft Punk-esque filters, as we spiral in and out of the vocals and the energetic lead, all of this comes with a super bouncy kick and under everything we hear shimmers of the original tracks trumpets and vocals. Vice keeps all of this filtering in and out, similar to say, Daft Punk’s remix of Gabrielle’s Forget The World. The vocals are glitched out and the chorus times in fantastic over the flicky bassline and the spring loaded kicks.
Earth, Wind & Fire – Let’s Groove (Nathan Vice’s Bmore Disco Re-edit)
I’ve probably been living under a rock, but it’s refreshing to see the classics remixed, especially Earth, Wind & Fire. Gotta love disco. I hear it’s coming back in style.
