The credit crunch bites deep, the recession takes hold – and still two bold adventurers decide that the trip to Mongolia must go ahead…we’re raising money for Save The Children (over £1000 now) and also delivering a rescue vehicle for a charity to use out there. So despite raising nowhere near what the trip demands in terms of financial capital, we’re soldiering on…the show must go on!
It’s not all bad news of course…hundreds of DJs from all over the world, including Krafty Kuts, Trevor Loveys, NAPT, HiJack, The Young Punx and Brodinski are uploading mixes and making small (and not so small!) donations as part of our Mongolian Mixtape Marathon, and we’ve raised hundreds of pounds so far to help pay for the fuel out there. With just 23 days to go, I’ve decided that there’s one last way I can raise some cash for the trip, and that’s to sell my beloved iPod. This is of course no ordinary iPod, and I’ll be keeping on all the Noise Porn tracks over the past year or so, as well as some tracks that nearly made it but didn’t, and some of the DJ mixes we’ve had over the past months. 10% of the sale will go direct to charity, while the rest will go towards funding the trip.
