
Think Swedish house and you probably think of the “house mafia,” who pump out fun but ultimately rather soulless house anthems on a regular basis, playing to hoardes of hairdressers in the UK and the “cool” crowd across Europe. No disrespect to them, I’ve seen the Angellos and Ingrossos of the world play live in a number of locations and it’s always great, solid house music.
But there’s a more interesting side to the Swedish scene, and it comes in the form of a duo called Dada Life. It’s not darker, but it’s certainly got more of the night about it, and with a healthy dose of humour combined with massive live stage presence, these guys have definitely got it going on.
Having featured them a while back (see the bonus track) below, we’re delighted to hear about their new album. The 12 track debut long player, from which ‘Happy Hands & Happy Feet’ is out now on single, is available now available in stores on digital and CD. And to get you in the mood, here’s a little vid…
