Über-extravagant circus rockers Bonaparte have been ripping up the indie scene lately, and the blame for most bruises on the dancefloor rests squarely on “Anti Anti”. It’s one of those tunes that is just begging for an electro reworking – a dirty job, but someone’s got to do it.
Luckily, Freakz Me Out (the label behind all this) are in the capable hands of Markus Lange for this one, whose delivered a crunchy electro version of the track that perfectly reflects the filthiness of the original. Not very interesting at all. Maybe i’m an old phogey these days but that just sounds like every other shan electro track i’ve heard in past 2 years. absolutely nothing original at all. complete with cliched snare rolls and “big drops”. no real melody, no real musicality at all.
sounds like a cat dancin on a keyboard while mum hoovers round about.
