——New iBreaks Tunage——-

AHH Yeah, iBreaks adds up the mutinous one to the line-up and turns out some tunes that will make us all wonder…..What took so long?

Dj Mutiny - Sign of the Times: This one takes it back to a time when house wasn’t cool and most of us still brought glow sticks to the club. Funky intro biz full of arp’d up hooks and shuffled drums get ya ready for a epic drop into a tune that is truly a tribute to the old school. This can only get better once you factor in that Mutiny had a hand in it, and it does. Shortly into the tune a nice B-line with a touch of grime pokes its ugly head in and gets this tune going the right way. The tune does build into a survivor, it takes a bit tho. This isn’t a tune that im nuts about, it is however a great tune in the sense that it is a very modern approach to some slightly less popular forms of breaks for this day and age.

Dj Mutiny - Here I Come: This ones got a bit more of a abrasive approach w/ Jimmy Hendrix samples and a touch of funk spattered on top of a punchy beat. The bass on this tune is very soulful and the beat to boot. The tune has a cool hook running thru it, all be it very simple, its still very effective. Im not sure if I like this tune, or if I just like breaks way to much. Either way…this One’s my pick of the 2 and im stickin’ with it

Mutiny flaunts more of his ability to turn out tunes you never thought you’d here him make, and he does it with style. This release is due to hit stores on September 22nd and your gonna want to give these a good listen. Prolly more than just once…and your gonna want to hear the whole tune…..so your just gonna have to buy them

—–New Botchit RmX Bizzzz!—–

…By now we should all be aware of Atomic Hooligans newest album ‘Sex, Drugs and Blah Blah Blah…’. Also, we should all be aware of the tune w/ more Acid than the long haired dude you met at the last festy you were at, and more glitch than the matrix on mushrooms “Electro aint Electro”. This go around you can pick up the original AND to mighty fine Rico Tubbs RmX’s all in the same release

With artwork like THAT you know its gonna be DOPE!…

Atomic Hooligan - Electro Aint Electro (Rico Tubbs Remix): This tune starts out with a nice hype 4/4 break and some hollowish bass. Up to the task of keepin you rockin in your headphones during the mix is some electro flavored vocal stabs and some nice atmospheric keys. Full on repetitive vocal demands like “get your ass on the floor” command you through the breakdown and when its drop time, Rico’s got plenty of bouncy bass, and stabby Edits to help make the dancefloor your bitch yet again . This is a great RmX for this tune and I personally can’t think of a more choice Remixer. BIG TUBB’S ACTION HERE FOLKS!!!!!!

Atomic Hooligan - Electro Aint Electro (Rico Tubbs ‘Rave’ Remix): Just the combo of all those key words in the tune title make me excited! Rico takes his remix and pumps it up with a lil bit of candy for this double header remix release. This version has some EPIC keys in it and really good charisma with any type of set. The bass has a bit more of a warm feel to it and the atmosphere has been doubled up on this version!

Botchit keeps the Biz big and keeps the tunes even bigger with this release! These are two GREAT remixes and if you doubt that at all just consider this, I even went as far as to post this Electro house release on NSB……Nuff said!

Breakdown’s breakin’ it DOWN!!

Posted under Uncategorized by J.Woot on Monday 15 September 2008 at 9:31 pm

Breakdown - Team Axel: This is a really cool tune. “My team, my crew, my boys, My hoes are much better than yours” Hustlers anthem right here. The Breakdown crew is made up of brothers Josh & Matt David along with the well known Ried Speed and they pretty much own it. This is a wobbly 4/4 slammer of a tune full of driving synths and the “oh so” proper wobble smacked down on the b-line. Loving the Helium sounding vocal as well. Look for mass amounts dance as the second breakdown drops….big tings!
Breakdown - Team Axel (Youthfull Implants RmX): This guys outta control. YI brings the breakbeat sound we all wanna hear and mixes it up with this tune to give that 4/4 feeling just a bit of a gnarly twist! This tune is the heavy stepper I wanted to hear. A deep droning bass coupled w/ some beautiful percussion and a driving feel make this tune a perfect alternative to the original. Big ups to the YI on this one, nice tunage!

Breakdown - Team Axel (Will Bailey RmX): 1/2 the Twocker crew comes thru and gives this tune a professional Wobble masters ReRub This tune is the jackin’ fidgety equivalent of about 15 RedBull and Vodka’s in a sweaty nightclub. Squelchy, wobbly, MASSIVE! Ultimate Electro tune right here, golden!  Will Bailey can do no wrong, and thats becoming very clear as this guy hammers out tunes that are sure to be BIG on the clubs.  A GREAT find for Promo Records!

Promo comes allll the way thru on this one with 4 wicked tunes! Things just don’t stop coming out of this direction and that’s a GOOD thing for your CD case. Look for this to come thru some time this month and be sure to pick it up, you’ll be amazed!

HUGE new electro tunes!!!

Moston & Malente - Do the right thing (orig):  This is a Tuuuuuune!  Every aspect of this one screams “crowd rocka!”.  This is a vocal filled electro monster of a tune that screams “Do the Right thing”, which is dance your ASS off!  Deeeeeeeep bass and synthy hooks continuously make M&M stand out as some of the best in the game, Very well done!

Moston & Malente - Do the right thing (Alt Mix):  Here we have ANOTHER slammin mix of the orig, this time a bit more jacked up and the B-line has gotten a bit more of a fidget rerub.  This release is just plain bad ass with out even getting into the remix portion of the release….Splank is definetly on to something here

Moston & Malente - Do the right thing (Twocker RmX):  The Fidget gods have smiled greatly upon these guys and this Remix is perfect proof!  This is possibly the most solid Remix you could ever hope that a major fidget producer could turn out for a release that already has 2 solid Electro mixes…..GOLD!  This starts with a rock solid 4/4 beat complete with the same vocals that even at this point haven’t gotten annoying yet.  Its not to long before your jammin to a full on electro masterpiece!  The B-Line is way to complex, the percussion is simple yet jackin’, and the tune has some great presence.  Twocker has always been a fav of mine, this is why…..

Moston & Malente - Do the right thing (Clark Able RmX):  new guy to the scene steps up amongst heavy hitters such as these and holds his own all the way down to the last kick!  I’ve had the pleasure of hearing a few of Clark Ables tunes and they have such a proper original sound that you really can’t deny this kid what he’s earned.  This is more of a quarky, still jackin electro tune that again…amungst the solid mixes mentioned prior to this… you really couldn’t ask for a better RmX.  He goes his own direction with the vocal and does a Great job with it, not to mention the feel this tune has….its Another GREAT mix

Splank steps up and slams out one HELL of a release!  All of these tunes have something for the Electro head in all of us and it wont be hard to imagine hearing at least one mix of this release on a regular basis.  Here’s your chance, Do the RIGHT THING…..and go pick up this release on Sept 15th

MAJOR TUNE ALERT!!!!

Posted under News, Reviews by J.Woot on Monday 8 September 2008 at 5:57 pm

F-Word - Scream for Daddy (VIP MiX):  This song is the SHIT!  F-Word really nailed it with the origional, it  has been in my sets since its release!  This time they beef up the Bass, toss in a solid atmosphere to back the tune and REALLY step up the edits in the tune.  Bass Reflections has always turned out solid releases and this one is BANGIN!  This tune has always had just what you need to get the dance floor up in a hurry with “Scream” vocals andthe kind of B-Line that demands attention.  You often hear of tunes being “the one to go to the bar during” well this is the one to BRING THEM BACK.  Hands down the best release on Bass Reflections this year.  YOU WANT TO OWN THIS TUNE.

Ottone - 69:  Here we have a Slammin tune from Ottone who has always turned out tunes with class.  This one starts off with a very catchy “we gonna get this booty, HEY” and some nice bass stabs.  This vocal has be rinsed for ages, but in the sense of only being in the mix and not after the breakdown…it makes perfect sense.  There is trails of it after, its in good taste tho and the tune really benefits from it.  This is another dance floor jammer and when the 2nd break down comes into the picture…..these ravers never knew what hittem.  This is a excellent tune with a lil something for everyone. Its glitchy, its heavy, its bassy, its super danceable, its a MONSTER TUNE.  Be sure to check this one out as well, you wont regret it!

Bass Reflections sign’s a super hot release on this one andas always, you can find it at most any digi shop.  This is a wonderful way to get the end of the year release schedule going.  You definitely don’t wanna miss what Bass Reflections has in store.  KEEP AN EYE OUT!
