Kid Digital - There For You: This tune starts out very mellow yet still driving. Spatters of female vocals and a crushed up blipy line get ya goin as the tune picks up into a great jammer w/ a super deep B-line and some nice synth work. This tune doesnt scream Kid digital to me but all in all I dig it for sure :bingo: It has a proper breakdown flaunting some nice vocals and the same great bass. Twards the drop of the tune a raunchy ass squelchy bass tone comes in and really go me groovin. This tune will surley go down well on the dance floor and will make a good addition to either a raunchy tear out set OR a slightly techy / groove based set. This is a great find for the 2nd installment on the Future Perfect label. Proper!
Pro-7 RmX: This one by Pro-7 comes correct w/ a Kick drum that will punch you RIGHT IN THE BRAIN! A bit less Electro than most of his productions this one has a bit of a hard house sound to it. I really dont dig hard house, I can see where this will go down well in just about any set tho because it still has a very Pro-7 sound to it which keeps it safley out of the “Hard house” catagory. A very good job has been done of using all the key elements from the orig in his own way. This is a proper addition to this release and should by no means be over looked.
Arrow RmX: Arrow takes the tune and runs w/ it on this RmX. Spacy intro biz and a hint of a progressive sound to it makes this a very different approach. The breakdown has a great wind up to it and the vocals have been reworked very nicley in a electro fashion. This is a really mellow tune and has a very deep house sound to it. Not my cup of tea at all, but those who read my reviews know that I like it derty and in your face. This is a surprising twist on this rmx. It does however mean that no matter what your liking, this release has one for you!
Future Perfect does a great job of putting together a very “some thing for everyone” package on this release. On top of that, all the artists on this one do a wicked job of showing that they have many different sounds they can turn out! This is FOR SURE one to keep a look out for!!!

Modular Records just got in touch to remind us that Ladyhawke’s single “Paris is Burning” is out August 23rd. Ladyhawke is not only darn good looking - she’s also a handy songsmith and dapper vocalist.
Paris Is Burning (listen to it above) was written while the wounds from a delirious weekend of assaults on the senses on the River Seine were still fresh; an outrageously fun, footloose summer jam that mixes tumbling drum fills, cheeky, melodic piano and vocal interplay, and an uplifting, whimsical chorus to euphoric effect.
She’s already picked up support from the likes of The Independent and Annie Mac on Radio 1, so “watch this space” is the best advice we can give you!

First of all apologies for not posting more frequently at the moment - it’s mainly because I’m now working full time and the weekends are the only time I get enough hours to put together a post. So sorry!!! - but to make up for it here’s a mega mega post with lots of free tracks and mixes for you all to enjoy on a summery sunday afternoon.
Dopamine Mix
First on the bill is Dopamine, who is big news in the breaks scene pretty much all the time. Best known track so far is probably “Flapjack,” which features on the video below and is a proper big room breaks anthem.
And if you liked that you can download this mix from Matt which he very kindly sent over - packed full of new tracks which have been featuring on some of our favourite blogs, as well as some unreleased stuff.
Dopamine - Spunk (coming soon on Lot49)
Oliver $ - Hotflash vol. 3
Ruffcut - Fazz Junk
Lee Mortimer - Snake Pit
Bryan Jones - Chicago Jack - Santiago & Bushido Remix
Round Table Knights - Hold Me Back - The Bulgarian Remix
Meat Katie & Jono Fernandez - Cock Blocked
Elite Force - Kinetic Connection - Rogue Element Remix
Chab feat. JD Davis - Closer To Me - Phonjaxx Remix
Tommie Sunshine - Limit Of Your Mind
Dom Kane - Tonal Display
Here’s the much awaited “Locals Only” remix album, organised by Black Lights and featuring the best of Californian producing talent. It’s a truly unique project which has had a lot of time and effort invested in it - congrats to all involved and I think you’ll agree that it was worth it, some quality and genuinely interesting tracks in there!
01 Cherry Cherry Coupe (Thavius Beck Remix)
02 Be True To Your School (Futuristic Prince Remix)
03 Surfer Girl (Johnatron Remix)
04 Fun Fun Fun (Subtitle Remix)
05 Wouldn’t Be Nice (Black Lights Remix)
06 Louie Louie ( Bulimiatron Remix)

08 I Know There’s an Answer (Ricky Dollars Remix)
09 Good Vibrations (Black Lights Remix)
Micah Vellian and Outputmessage are DMerit, two teachers from Northeast DC, who in between teaching maths and remedial reading, produce dance music which is fantastically received all over the blog scene. Here’s a load of tracks you should have!
“This banger has been getting spins from the likes of Dave Nada and Hip-hop Dan, who recently used the track on his tour promo mix that was featured on Discobelle”
“This tune was done as part of a remix contest that wasn’t really clear whether it was a real contest or not. Regardless, we flipped the track and made the otherwise sugary pop number into a sinister, more menacing version.”
“This is currently an entry in the Foals/Last.FM remix competition. We took an otherwise dark and brooding track and flipped it to make an indie electro banger with a slight touch of Baltimore house.”
“This track got featured on Palms Out Sounds’ Remix Sunday. At the time, Dmerit didn’t quite exist yet, so we just attached our dj night, Marquis as the remixer name. It features a lot of our own live instrumentation (bass and guitar) to give it an added soulful feel.”
Keeping it local (although I’m temporarily living in London now!), we’ve got more dubstep from DFRNT, who’s graced Noise Porn’s hallowed pages before, so he must be good! There’s this mix, and then if you hit up his Myspace and check out the blog there, he’s got 2 320s ready for download too! Having only got into dubstep last year, he’s already producing some cracking stuff - including that amazing Dead Prez remix.
“1 hour of dubstep, including 2 exclusive tracks from the forthcoming EP, unavailable anywhere else, and the well received first incarnation of the DFRNT Altern-8 remix.”
The mix works in 2 halves, the first being chilled, the second being harder edged.
Botchit & Scarper Remix Competition
Thanks for all those who entered! We’re going to select five in the next week for you to listen to and one of them will be selected for a release on Contrabass, the new digital imprint from Botchit & Scarper. Genres wise there’s breaks, house, techno and dubstep to choose from and the standard has been fantastic. More updates soon!

Here’s a lesson to anyone who ever wants to get BIG BLOG LOVE! from Homework - they always right really polite emails to blogs, and they always get their stuff published! It might be something to do with it being ruddy good Dutch electro, we don’t know, but for all you rude producers out there, take note!
This is their first original production, there’s been lots of remixes from these guys, and they’ve most definitely delivered. Check it out on the player and then download in full 320. Sweet!
Next up it’s this cheeky chappy Scott Harris, who’s got some big name remixes under his belt including the ubiquitous Wiley remix (his is actually quite good - check out it out on his Myspace) Here we’ve got his super fidgety take on Dizzee, plus some other goodies on the fidget side of things. Check it out, the Shudda track in particular has a special magic touch to it. All in 320 as well!

Just got sent some pretty sweet breaks from Edinburgh label Pyrate Music. If you like deep, growling breaks with a mellow rolling bassline, interspersed with some ragga sounding vocals, you’ll like this track from Mikey Magic called “Volume Electronic.” Have a listen
It got to number 7 in the Trackitdown breaks charts, and you can see why, right?
Officially established in 2006 as a small net-label, Pyrate Music’s Dee Mond is the main releasing/remixing artist. Pyrate Music’s reputation is growing quickly and the recent release of the Sharks EP, featuring Espion, Squatter, Mikey Magic and of course, Dee Mond, showcases their finest talent.
So if that sounds like your cup of tea, get hold of the much vaunted Sharks EP and get more from the label here.
Also got this mix sent over from our friends at Welcome To Dance Club which ticks all the boxes - download it, iPod it, rinse it. There’s some deeply sinful tracks on there which I’ve been loving for ages, and some new stuff which is fresh.
1. Sawtooth Sucka - No Ordinary Girl
2. Fake Blood - Mars
3. Santiago and Bushido - For What (The Bulgarian Remix)
4. P Diddy - Bad Boy For Life (La Mode’s Bad Motherfuckers’ Fuck Up)
5. Geoff K - Vodka and Sugarfree Redbull
6. Michael Jackson - Bad (Mowgli is Bad Remix)
7. Daniel Dexter - Bounce is Back (Malente Remix)
8. Nic Sarno - Jam Boot
9. Dr. Dre - Still D.R.E. (Tenzin Remix)

Lazy afternoon at home and been meaning to post some tracks I’ve been sent, first up it’s Californian DJ Krassy mashing together Hostage and Digitalism, which is really sweet.
Then next it’s rocked up electro with some cool, lazy vocals over the time which just ooze summer feelgood, from Alex Rage. Rage is based in Chicago, where’s he’s resident at Crobar. Good night, I hear!
Enjoy those and don’t forget to enter the remix competition - deadline is 20th June and we’ve had a few entries in so far, all of which have thrown the contest wide open.

They might be just another hype from the UK. There are a few facts speaking against that though - the fact that I really like their music, and the fact that Kitsuné Maison signed them. The Cazals have been touring quite a bit of Europe in recent weeks, with a stopover in my hometown. And they really rocked the club, even though it wasn’t as sold out as it should have been.
Listening to their concert, I had a lot of remix ideas for their songs in my head. Unfortunately I don’t have the time to do yet another remix, but I had the time to do some research on the internets… Not many remixes, and only very few decent ones. If anyone out there with any remixing skills reads this: Lock yourself in your studio and remix the Cazals! The world will thank you!
