Re:Connects shining star Jay”ReFunk”Stewart turns out a great feeling tune and tosses it to some of the best in the biz for remix duties on this release! As you can always expect from Re:Connect, this ones an essential for any Dj. Little something for everyone in this release…
ReFunk – Mr.Mole… This tune starts out with a nice whompy synth and some solid as hell drums. As you can only expect from Jay “ReFunk” Stewart, once this tune drops after the Breakdown its all just a bit of head games with builds and drops and such until the drums go nuts and then BAM the whole tunes just creeps away…..and then sneaks back up and jump kicks yer ass in the FACE! Its a real catchy tune with bending synth work and some beautiful backing elements. This Version will have a spot in my “opening tunes” category for a long time to come!
ReFunk – Mr.Mole (Rektchordz RmX)… Rektchordz is back again, and as always…this guy aint F**Kin’ around. How can you even question a tune that starts with a cowbell?? next up to back that funky cowbell is a b-Line that blow yer hair back, no joke. As you’ll always get from rektchordz this tune is full of quarky fx and all the blips and blurps you could want. This RmX is a excellent example of how to take a good tune, and give it your own flavor. A great addition to the package…
ReFunk – Mr.Mole (RebelSketchy RmX)… A Perfect topper to a already SLAMMIN’ package of tunes. Rebel Sketchy turns this quarky tune into a full on 4/4 masterpiece! Lovely atmosphere, a solid B-line and as much Funk as you could ever ask for! This tune stands out to be because of its wonderful use of panning and hints of a break that are scattered all throughout.
This one is out on the 29th of May and If you haven’t figured it out already….YOU NEED THIS ONE. Nothing but the best of releases here lately from the Re:connect crew, I give it 5 stars with out a doubt. This release is the total package!
